Trent Maly, D.C.
I am
originally from a small town in Northeastern Nebraska, growing up on a small
farm. I was and still very active in sports and just being in nature. After high school I received my bachelors in
Exercise Science and Wellness from Nebraska Wesleyan University. Then I
attended Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Over the past 10
years I have practiced in Lincoln with the Mosier/Timperley Chiropractic
Clinic. Where we currently have seven doctors in practice with over 125 years
combined experience, which exposes me to things well beyond my years.
In elementary
school I had a freak accident with a rocking recliner chair that left me for a
lack of better words paralyzed from the neck down. Do not let your children do
a headstand on recliners! Anyway my dad carried me to bed and said they would
take me to the doctor in the morning.
Growing up in rural Nebraska chiropractors are just not on every corner
and I was subjected to the medical route of treatments, a cervical soft collar
and physical therapy were my summer plans. If only my parents knew of
chiropractic my younger years would have been different. It wasn’t until high
school that I saw my first chiropractor. I was playing football and got injured,
lucky for me a teammate’s brother was a chiropractor and I fell in love with
what just his hands could do.
Since
graduating chiropractic school my wife Tiffany and I have three sons: Kane,
Malachi & Elijah. I have continued my pediatric education with the
International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and have been certified in the
Webster Technique that assists pregnant women with difficult labor and breeched
baby presentations. My wife and I also serve on the Board at MilkWorks, a
non-profit community breastfeeding center designed to help mothers have a
positive breastfeeding experience.
